Shah Rukh Khan Met Niki Walia In Hospital At Midnight After Accident, ‘Sitting Next To My Bed…’
Actress, Niki Aneja Walia Walia established herself in the TV industry with popular shows like Astitva, Sea Hawks , and Gharwali Baharwali . Unfortunately, when she was at the peak of her career, Niki met with a serious accident on set when a car ran over her. Well, in a recent interview, the actress shared an interesting anecdote about that phase, revealing that Shah Rukh Khan was the one who informed her about the driver’s identity.
Niki Aneja Walia reveals that Shah Rukh Khan came to meet her in the hospital in the middle of the night
Niki Aneja Walia recently sat down for a chat with Siddharth Kannan, during which she revealed that Shah Rukh Khan came to visit her while she was in the hospital. The star showed up beside her hospital bed and offered his help and support. Revealing her disbelief at seeing Shah Rukh there, Niki said:
“I was in the hospital for a month and a half. I was undergoing treatment and I was delirious. One night, I just woke up and saw Shah Rukh Khan sitting next to my hospital bed. I thought I am on too much medication and I am imagining Shah Rukh.”
Niki further revealed that she had collaborated with Shah Rukh previously while hosting various international stage shows. The actress had even been signed as the leading lady of the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer, Yes Boss and loved her time on set. However, she had to back out from the project after five days of shooting, after which Juhi Chawla replaced her.

Niki then went on to elaborate on the conversation she had with Shah Rukh Khan while in the hospital. According to Niki, the actor first apologized for coming at the late hour of midnight and then went on to reveal the identity of the driver who had caused her accident. She narrated:
“Shah Rukh held my hand and said ‘Niki, it’s Shah. I am so sorry. It’s 12 in the night but because there was paparazzi outside, I was waiting for them to leave. I can only come in the night.’ He then started stroking my hair and asked me how I was, if I wanted anything. He said ‘Answer one question, were you hit by a red Maruti van?’
Shah Rukh revealed to Niki that he had spotted the driver who caused her accident in Film City on the same day. According to him, the production crew of Niki’s show had been teaching someone how to drive the van that hit her. Niki recalled:
“He said I was going for the shoot of Devdas and this red Maruti van was being used to teach someone how to drive. He told me that I waited for 10 minutes because that man was learning to drive and there was no space to go past. Shah Rukh remembered that. He gave me the news that the person who has hit you, he didn’t even know how to drive.
Niki Aneja Walia states that Shah Rukh Khan told her to sue the show’s production house
Niki then painfully stated that her show’s production house had ruined her career with their actions. According to her, they had hired a man who didn’t even know how to drive for a scene requiring driving just to save Rs. 1000. However, Shah Rukh’s efforts to come all the way to inform her of the same had doubled her respect for him. Not only that, but the star also urged her to sue the production house for what they did.
