Pawan Kalyan advocates for Chandrababu Naidu as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister for next decade, not just five years
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan declared his unwavering support for Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, urging him to continue leading the state for the next decade. Addressing the state assembly on Wednesday, Kalyan lauded Naidu’s vision and governance, expressing confidence in his leadership to transform Andhra Pradesh into a USD 1 trillion economy.
“I am telling the chief minister (Naidu), not just five years, you have to continue as the CM of this state for a decade. You have to continue this spirit,” Kalyan said. He emphasized that achieving the USD 1 trillion target, equivalent to Rs 7.65 lakh crore, is feasible under Naidu’s administration.
Highlighting the first 150 days of NDA government rule in the state, Kalyan noted that the progress under Naidu’s leadership had instilled confidence in him about the state’s future. He described Naidu as a “visionary” leader whose guidance was essential for Andhra Pradesh to “race” towards the economic milestone.
Kalyan lambasted the previous YSRCP government for allegedly devastating the state’s governance and economy, mentioning issues such as “damaged roads, ganja menace, looting of resources, powerless panchayats, and attacks on temples.” He praised Naidu for his resilience, particularly during the challenging period when he was jailed under the previous administration.
In his address, Kalyan called on his fellow cabinet ministers to align their efforts with Naidu’s developmental vision, stating, “Sir (Naidu), you give us directions time-to-time. It is our duty to discharge our responsibilities efficiently in our respective departments as per your development vision.”
Kalyan also expressed gratitude to Naidu for his speech detailing the achievements of the TDP-led NDA government in its first 162 days. He highlighted that the progress under Naidu’s leadership reassured him of a bright future for the state, further solidifying his stance on Naidu’s continued leadership.
