Jaipur Woman Kills 4-Year-Old Son Over Dispute With Husband, Sleeps Next To His Body Overnight

In a shocking incident in Jaipur, a mother allegedly murdered her four-year-old son and then slept next to his body throughout the night. The accused woman was reportedly engaged in a dispute with her husband and expressed a desire to return to her parental home with her son. However, her husband allegedly forbade her from doing so, leading her to murder her child.
The police have arrested the accused mother. The incident took place at Birampura village of Jaipur Rural district. The village falls under the jurisdiction of Renwal police station.
Police said that the accused, Sarita, resided with her husband, Mukesh Kumar Jat. On Tuesday night, Sarita was sleeping in a room with her four-year-old son, Dikshant.
On Wednesday morning, when Dikshant’s grandmother went to feed him milk, she discovered him unconscious. She immediately raised an alarm, alerting the family members who rushed Dikshant to the hospital. Unfortunately, the doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Following the incident, the father, Mukesh Jat filed a police complaint, suspecting his wife’s involvement in the murder. Renwal police station in-charge, Surendra Kumar, inspected the scene and interrogated the family members. Upon examination, marks were found on the deceased child’s neck, raising further suspicion. The police then took Sarita into custody for questioning, during which she confessed to the crime, leaving the family shocked.
Sarita shared that she was unhappy living with her in-laws and wished to return to her parental home. However, she did not want to leave her son behind. This reportedly led to frequent disputes with her husband. Driven by her desperation, she allegedly strangled her son.
Sarita hails from Uttar Pradesh. As per initial investigation, it was found out that Mukesh Kumar married Sarita in 2019. A year later, their son, Dikshant, was born. However, soon after, there were frequent flights between them. Sarita had expressed her desire to leave Mukesh and return to her parental home. However, Mukesh allegedly refused to let her take their son with her. This ultimately led her to take the drastic step of allegedly killing their son.
